PFOSS Monthly Lottery

We are excited to announce the launch of our new exclusive PFOSS Monthly Lottery!

Every ticket purchased will help us to raise vital funds for an Outdoor Sensory Pod, whilst giving those who take part the chance to win a cash prize.

The cost is £2.50 per ticket, and a member will be selected at random on the last day of each month to win 40% of the ticket sales. We will also endeavour to add in some additional prizes throughout the year such as hampers or entry tickets.

As an example - if we sell 100 tickets the grand prize will be £100.

You can buy a one-off ticket but the idea behind this lottery is that you sign up to taking part on an ongoing monthly basis via direct debit. You can cancel this at any time.

This lottery is open to all adults, including; parents, carers, staff, friends, family and the wider community of Sparkwell All Saints Primary School.

The more people that enter, the bigger the cash jackpot every month and the more funds raised to help us achieve our sensory pod target…WIN WIN!

So, please share this page with as many people in your circle as possible, they do not have to have a direct link with the school to support our fundraising efforts.

The system behind this page is set up to handle the lottery membership, the random draw and the automatic prize payment. The PFOSS committee are not involved in the process, so they are free to take part.

We are happy to be raising money for an outdoor sensory pod / classroom for the school.

We have managed to raise our goal - with a combination of events, donations and the Tesco grant! Woo hoo! Thanks to everyone that has supported us throughout the school year, you are truly appreciated and amazing!

The school are exploring the option of an external shelter placed within the natural environment (on the edge of the school boundary beside the woods, at the front of the building), since they provide plenty of benefits (see below) to the school, the children and the staff.

An outdoor pod will enable staff and children to head outdoors, no matter the weather, to use the space to learn, as a calming area/small group intervention away from the classroom or simply a space to extend the children's imaginative games. The space can be transformed for numerous different activities to take place. It could even be used to host external community group meetings.

Taking children into a fresh, new environment, where they are surrounded by nature, is the perfect way to increase participation in lessons. It’s perfect for calming those children who may be struggling with a topic and enabling them to work though their struggles step by step, as they forget about all of the stresses and distractions back inside.

The natural environment is perfect for children to relax and refocus themselves as they listen to nature and self-regulate away from the busy classroom. As they breathe in a breath of fresh air and prepare themselves for learning, the outdoor environment acts as a fantastic stress relief, improving children’s (and staff's) well-being, too.
