About

We are raising funds for the creation of a purpose-built Outdoor Therapeutic Learning Environment at the Bronze Barrow primary site, including specialist playground and sensory play equipment to provide inclusive, structured, and safe play and learning opportunities for pupils aged 4–11.

Traditional playgrounds are often overstimulating and physically inaccessible for pupils with physical disabilities and sensory differences. Dedicated specialist equipment and zoning are needed to enable sensory and emotional regulation as a prerequisite to learning, and to support physical development, communication and social interaction. The outdoor area will be used daily as part of curriculum delivery and therapeutic interventions, transforming a secure courtyard into a structured therapeutic environment.
