We’re fundraising for sensory-friendly outdoor spaces — sandpits, mud kitchens, zen gardens, and more — to support our children’s wellbeing and behaviour at break time.
Why this matters
At St Andrew's, over a third of our pupils have special educational needs, and many struggle with unstructured time. When we removed traditional playground equipment that was causing conflict, behaviour suffered — and we knew we needed a better solution. We believe the answer is calmer, more purposeful outdoor spaces. We're raising £21,000 to transform our playground with sandpits, mud kitchens, a zen garden, scooters and seating — and we need your help to get there.

Our children face real challenges — and they deserve the very best environment we can provide. This project is about more than equipment. It’s about giving every child at St Andrew’s the chance to thrive.
Ways to support us
There are several ways you can help St Andrew’s reach its goal:
- Donate online — every pound makes a difference, however big or small.
- Gift Aid your donation — if you’re a UK taxpayer, ticking the Gift Aid box means we receive an extra 25p for every £1 you give, at no extra cost to you.
- Share this page — sharing with friends, family, and on social media helps us reach more potential supporters.
- Fundraise on our behalf — organising a sponsored event or bake sale? We’d love to hear from you.
- Business match funding — does your employer offer match funding? Check with your HR team — it could double your impact.
