About

Discovery Academy is a special school in Sheffield for children aged 7–16 with autism, many of whom face additional health and emotional challenges. Most come from areas of high deprivation and are socially isolated outside school due to their complex needs.

Friends of Discovery Academy School (FDAS) fundraises to provide enriching experiences that go beyond the classroom— outdoor learning, countryside experiences and life skills. These opportunities help build confidence, independence, and a sense of belonging.

We’re inviting local businesses to make a regular donation to our School Community Fund. Your support will help us continue offering these vital experiences and ensure every child has access to the opportunities they deserve. We appreciate all donations and just £5 or £10 per month would make a huge difference.
