Help Us Create an Inclusive Outdoor Learning Space at Imberhorne School
We’re raising £10,000 to transform an unused area into a vibrant outdoor classroom and sensory garden for our students with additional needs. This space will include:
- Outdoor classroom – a dedicated base for learning beyond the traditional classroom
- Sensory garden – calming, interactive features to support wellbeing
- Clay oven & fire pit – for cooking skills and outdoor experiences
- Pond area & hedgerow – to encourage biodiversity and hands-on learning
- Seating areas – for mentoring, coaching, and social interaction
These facilities will allow staff and students to work together in a nurturing environment, providing opportunities for gardening, animal care, cooking skills, and mentoring to help students self-regulate and thrive.
We already run Eco Club, Gardening Club, and Chicken Club, and this project will take these initiatives to the next level. In the future, we aim to introduce Horticulture Level 1 for Year 9 and Level 2 qualifications for GCSE students, giving them practical skills and accredited learning opportunities.
Your support will help us create a space where every student can feel included, engaged, and inspired.
Please donate today and help us make this vision a reality!
